BA RIA – VUNG TAU: THE BREEZE OF THE SEA AND THE FLAVOR OF PEACE

Located about 110 km east of Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau is an ideal destination for anyone who wants to escape the busy city life and enjoy the calm breeze of the sea.

With a mild climate all year round and two distinct seasons — the rainy season from May to October and the dry season from November to April — this coastal province is perfect for relaxing, exploring, or simply enjoying the beach.

Vung Tau City, the province’s tourism center, is famous for its beautiful beaches such as Back Beach, Front Beach, and Dau Beach, where you can swim in clear blue water, walk on soft white sand, and watch the sunset paint the sky.

For those who love adventure, there are plenty of outdoor activities — paddleboarding, surfing, jet skiing — or you can climb to the Christ the King statue on Small Mountain for a panoramic view of the city and sea.

Beyond the beaches, Ba Ria – Vung Tau is also a land of spiritual and cultural heritage. The Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda, located on Big Mountain, is a peaceful spot to admire the view and experience local Buddhist culture.

In the eighth lunar month, visitors can join the Nghinh Ong Festival, a traditional celebration of local fishermen to honor the Whale God, their guardian of the sea. Colorful boats, rituals, and folk activities bring the festival to life.

The local cuisine is another highlight — from crispy mini pancakes (bánh khọt) to stingray hotpot, fresh fish salad, and grilled seafood along the beach. Each dish carries the true taste of southern Vietnam.

With its blue sea, green mountains, cultural richness, and friendly people, Ba Ria – Vung Tau is more than just a place to visit — it’s a journey of emotions.
Here, you’ll find yourself slowing down, breathing deeper, and letting the sea breeze whisper the gentle stories of southern Vietnam.
