Hidden among the majestic Truong Son Mountains, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is a true masterpiece of geology and nature. Recognized twice by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage Site (in 2003 and 2015), this park is a living museum that preserves more than 400 million years of Earth’s history, with one of the most impressive limestone cave systems in the world.
When you enter Phong Nha Cave, it feels like stepping into an underground dream. The emerald river gently flows between glittering stalactites and stalagmites, shaped by nature over millions of years. The name “Phong Nha”, meaning “wind passing through the teeth,” reflects the cave’s mysterious and poetic beauty. Known as “the first wonder of caves,” it is famous for having the most beautiful underground river, the widest entrance, fine sandy beaches, magnificent dry chambers, and stunning rock formations.
You can also visit Thien Duong Cave, or Paradise Cave, considered the longest and most beautiful dry cave in the world. Stretching over 31 kilometers, it looks like a giant underground palace. When light touches the stone columns, the space glows with an almost unreal beauty — a natural artwork beyond imagination.
A trip to Phong Nha – Ke Bang is more than just seeing an extraordinary landscape; it’s a chance to feel the spirit of nature, the depth of history, and the warmth of the people in Central Vietnam — where land and sky seem to come together in perfect harmony.
